Hi. I’m Angela. Possibly your friend. Possibly not. Hopefully will be.

But I will share things with you as if we are very good friends. I tend to explore those moments where life gives and takes away at the same time. My birth mother has early onset dementia and has been pretty good at keeping secrets my entire life. As she slips away, I have gotten a few truths out of her. For the truths I couldn’t wait on, I turned to a DNA service. With help from a certain website that doesn’t pay me, I was able to find my birth father and connect with him, but only in time for him to slip into a coma from which he would never wake.

I explore these bittersweet moments via plays, short stories, and I am working on my first book.

Angela is a writer and technologist in Dallas, Texas.

She holds a BA degree in Creative Writing with an emphasis in Poetry Writing. In addition to helping her discover her favorite verse form (sestina), her poetry degree has helped her develop creative ways to tell interviewers that while she can answer their questions with a rhyme, she would really rather not. Please stop asking.
